Yesterday I talked about Why It Is Important To Set Boundaries To Heal Your Back Pain. A friend of mine who listened to the podcast gave me some good feedback. He told me that it was easy for me to set boundaries who could afford an assistant, that I can send everyone to. But what do the rest of us do that can´t afford an assistant how wants to set up boundaries in our life?

It is a valid point and for this reason today I will talk about the number one thing you can do in your life to set boundaries for yourself and the people around you. So, the whole world does not have access to you 24/7. Implementing this “one thing” can significantly reduce your constant feeling of stress and back pain. But only if you implement it and stick to it.

Eight years ago, when I still could not afford an assistant a buddy of mine gave me a copy of the book “the four-hour work week” written by Tim Ferris. The book is a best seller and, in the book, Tim gives a lot of good advice on how to set boundaries for yourself and for the people around you.

The number one thing I got from this book that really help me reduce my stress level and back pain was to check my messages on my phone, email and social media only twice per day.  

The message I will read to you in a moment is straight from the book the four-hour work week. After listening to the message, my recommendation is that you go and implement this straight away. First you record this message as your voicemail message and then as your autoresponder message for incoming e-mails. Okay here it is:

You should also put your cell phone on silent mode, turn of all notifications on your computer and stop checking Facebook and other social media platforms that your are plugged in to. Okay guys go and implement that right now and try it out strictly for 10 days it will literally change your life.

My goal is that if I can give you one little idea or just get your mind thinking about something different each day, then I feel like I´ve succeeded and that´s what my goal is.
